Centurion: Maika “Max” Ravouvou

Maika ‘Max’ Ravouvou plays his 100th game for the Vikings this weekend. One of the Vikings most popular players, Max arrived from Nadi, Fiji, via the Riverina of NSW to settle in Canberra, start a family with Erin and begin his wonderful Rugby journey in red and white.
Max’s extremely laid back demeanour and unassuming nature belies a competitive beast within that regularly results in opponents being set upon in a Fijian frenzy of aggression and lack of self preservation with collisions that would send most players into early retirement. Max has scored a multitude of tries over many years and regularly brings the Red Army to their feet scorching down the touchline, waving the ball around, offloading, supporting and beating opposition defenders on his way to the tryline.
The excitement and joy the Fijian flyer brings to any training session and game which involves throwing a Rugby ball around is infectious and makes Max an extremely popular and valued member of any team he as been in over his 100 games at the club. He has continued to improve every season and has lit up the John I Dent Cup in recent seasons.
We wish Max all the best this weekend in his 100th game for the club.
