All six squads made the finals, four progressed to the Grand Finals, and two claimed premiership titles. From the outstanding achievements of the ViQueens to the relentless determination of our senior and Colts squads, our teams exemplify hard work, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence.
Womens
Premier Women’s XV
Leading the way are our ViQueens, who dominated in 2024 as Premiership winners, Minor Premiers, and Sole X Cup champions. With a focus on inclusivity and development, we are proud to foster a strong and vibrant future for rugby.
Colts
ACT Vets Cup
The Colts represent the next generation of Vikings Rugby, bringing youthful energy and talent to the game. In 2024, they earned the title of Minor Premiers and fought hard in the Grand Final, showcasing resilience and determination against tough competition. As an important pathway for players under 20, the Colts continue to develop future stars and embody the spirit of Vikings Rugby.
1st Grade
John I Dent Cup
Vikings 1st Grade represents the pinnacle of competition at Vikings Rugby, showcasing skill, leadership, and determination at the highest level. In 2024, they excelled as Minor Premiers, defended the Bob Hitchcock Shield, and fought their way to a thrilling Grand Final.
3rd and 4th Grade
1st Division Draw
Our 3rd and 4th Grade are all about mateship and love for the game. They represent what grassroots rugby is all about. These teams bring passion, fun, and dedication to the field, proving that rugby at Vikings is for everyone.
2nd Grade
Spence Cup
Vikings 2nd Grade embodies resilience and teamwork, consistently delivering strong performances. In 2024, they achieved an incredible three-peat, winning their third consecutive Premiership.
Juniors
ACT Junior Rugby Union
The Vikings Junior Rugby Club is where the journey begins! In 2024, 11 teams from U8 to U18 proudly represented the club, including our expanding girls’ programs in U14 and U16. It’s all about fun, development, and fostering a love for rugby in a supportive and inclusive environment. Whether you’re a future star or just want to give rugby a go, Vikings Juniors is the perfect place to start.

ViQueens Pathway Program
Launched in 2024, the ViQueens Pathway Program provides U14, U16, and U18 girls with a structured pathway to transition into senior rugby at Vikings.
This initiative allows junior players to connect with senior athletes, including Super W and International representatives, fostering mentorship and guidance. As we expand the program, we are committed to developing talent, building connections, and inspiring the next generation of female rugby players.

Modified Rugby Program
The Modified Rugby Program is a groundbreaking, touch-only version of the game designed for boys and girls with learning and perceptual disabilities. Running for 10 weeks, this inclusive initiative provides young athletes with the opportunity to step onto the field, experience the joy of rugby, and thrive in a supportive environment.
As one of only a few clubs in Australia and the only club in the ACT to offer this program, we are proud to create opportunities for individuals of all abilities. At Vikings Rugby, everyone is welcome to be part of our community and share in the love of the game.

Lean On Me Program
The Lean On Me program is a long-standing initiative that reflects our commitment to supporting the Vikings community in all aspects of life. Through leadership, mentorship, and education, the program focuses on mental health, performance mindset, cultural awareness, leadership development, addiction support, and professional development.
By addressing these key areas, Lean On Me provides members with the tools they need to build resilience, foster personal growth, and enhance their well-being both on and off the field.

Gen Red Program
Launched in 2020 in partnership with our Junior Club, the Generation Red program is a cornerstone initiative focused on developing U16–U18 boys and girls. Through elite coaching, comprehensive support, and targeted training, the program is designed to nurture emerging rugby talent and prepare them for the next level of competition.
With a long-term vision, Generation Red is dedicated to enhancing player performance while fostering the growth and retention of Vikings senior players. This initiative strengthens the foundation of our club and ensures a bright future for both our teams and the broader rugby community.

Pre-Season Academy
Pre-season training for all senior grades begins on 28 January at 6pm at Viking Park and will run every Tuesday and Thursday evening. These sessions are open to returning and new players, offering opportunities to develop skills, build fitness, and connect with the Vikings Rugby community.
Whether you are looking to compete at a high level or simply enjoy rugby in a social setting, pre-season is the perfect time to get involved. Join us as we prepare for another exciting season both on and off the field. New players are always welcome!
